'One Job'
many of the apps on this /uses list have one job in my workflow. i won't use a 'super app' -- or an app that is bloated like telegram -- for the one (1) job i need it to do, if i don't have to. i like using a simple app for a single job, so most of these apps are exactly this.
- Opener (iOS) -- one of the first tools i recommend to everyone to open links from the web in their respective apps instead
- Picsew (iOS) -- i wish i could use 'tailor', but its automatic screenshot stitching does not always do what i want, picsew is great to manually stitch screenshots together
- Reeder Classic (iOS, macOS) -- to read rss feeds of blogs and websites as opposed to using a multitool or super app like 'tapestry' or the new reeder which have the ability to include social media, podcasts, videos, and more
- Instapaper (iOS, macOS) -- simple and clean read-later-app to save posts and articles. most other apps want to save everything for later instead of just text
- Phanpy (web app) -- soley for the feature to catch-up on mastodon posts
- Halide (iOS) -- for taking zero processed photos
- Zerocam Mono (iOS) -- for taking black & white photos
- PDF Squeezer (iOS, macOS) -- little app to compress pdfs
- video for ants (iOS) -- little app to compress videos
- AlDente (macOS) -- battery monitoring app to change the charging limit of my all-day plugged-in macbook to 69 % instead of 100 %
